Background:
Laura Perino is a clinical therapist at Key Life Directions and has over eighteen years of experience. Laura attended Bowling Green State University where she received her Master of Rehabilitation Counseling. Laura also gained her independent license from the State of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor- Supervisor.
Laura has specific training and application in crisis intervention and cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as trauma and loss. Laura’s expertise and experience allows her to specialize in teen and young adult issues, as well as extensive knowledge in women’s issues. She has spoken on such topics as eating disorders, self-mutilation, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and sexual abuse. Laura is also very familiar with post-partum depression and trauma including sexual abuse issues with victims and offenders, incest survivors, and veterans returning from war.
Laura is dedicated to providing services to her patients in a friendly and respectful atmosphere. Together, strong relationships can lead to lasting solutions.
